The AAUW Arizona’s Public Policy program underscores the mission of advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
At the September 2017 AAUW of AZ board meeting, we voted to focus on three policy issues this year. While our branches may adopt separate issues to focus on, the state organization will stress Title IX, Women’s health and Reviving the ERA. Passage of the ERA would achieve many of our individual goals in one legislative action. Nevada just passed ERA, and that revives the issue for the rest of us. The Board thought that was a powerful vision for AAUW of Arizona.
